OCEAN OPTIMISM

We are working with individuals and organisations in the UK and around the world as part of the ocean optimism network!

Celebrating successful campaigns and conservation work for the protection of sharks and marine life. #OCEANOPTIMISM

We believe that by learning from the work of pioneers who show that change can happen even against the starkest odds; we can generate participation and unify the global shark movement, positively working to protect sharks and our oceans together.

To this end we are producing a series of documentaries and pod casts exploring positivity and co-operative effort in conservation and are producing short films to explore the issues and creative efforts being made around the world.

If you are interested in getting involved and telling your or your organisations shark saving story - get in touch and tell us all about it!

Fin Fighters are also building a dynamic and exciting creative program; with artists, musicians, skaters, dancers, surfers, film makers, directors, businesses, writers and many more! All contributing skills and talent to help save sharks and ecosystems and helping to build Fin Fighters into a conservation organisation with a difference - that looks at tacking the issues from as many angles as possible.

We are also working on many educational programs within schools and societies – aimed at getting children excited at participating in shark conservation, and we are approaching universities and students to highlight the issues in their communities in expressive and fun ways.

We are working to create something different with Fin Fighters - something that crosses the barriers between art, science and activism and challenges pre-consieved ideas of what it means to be a conservationist in todays society.

Phil: "Our logo is designed by Canadian Musician/artist Chad VanGaalen,  drawing inspiration from old-school skate and surf companies. We wanted to evoke the feeling of something new and interesting - whilst at the same time representing sharks and ourselves."

We are in the process of making some seriously great Fin Fighter goodies (Check out Chads work here: https://www.subpop.com/artists/chad_vangaalen) including T-Shirts, bags, badges, stickers and loads more. Watch this space for information on how to purchase a piece of awesomeness when they become available, and of course all the proceeds will go towards making our campaigns happen for protecting sharks and the oceans.

If you have any ideas or designs for Fin Fighters T's, posters or anything else let us know!

Check out our collaborators page for more information on sponsors and organisations we work with.

Interested in participating in any of our campaigns? or have ideas and skills you would like to bring to the mix?  Please check out our volunteers page and get in touch today, we would love to hear from you.
